Accreditation And Approval
The Textile Institute accredits a wide range of courses globally within all areas of textiles, clothing and footwear. Students who graduate from these courses can apply for their professional qualifications after a shorter period of work experience and in some cases directly on graduation.
The Textile Institute also offers Approval and Approval with Credit to providers of in-house training, short courses, on-line delivery and programmes not otherwise eligible via the accreditation route.
Accreditation
- The Textile Institute accredits courses at both Licentiateship (LTI) and Associateship (CText ATI) level
- Application is via a form which is assessed by a small panel of experts and ratified by the Professional Qualifications Committee
- Accreditation lasts for 5 years
Approval and Approval with Credit
- Each course is assessed individually to ensure that the training on offer is of the highest standard
- Application is via a form which is assessed by a small panel of experts and ratified by the Professional Qualifications Committee
- Courses with assessed outcomes such as a test or graded portfolio can apply for Approved with Credit
- Approved Status lasts for 5 years
