The Gaunt family have an amazing history with wool textiles.

William Gaunt’s ancestors emigrated from Flanders in the 14th century, and the family’s fortunes have waxed and waned with the wool industry ever since.

William and his cousin, John, run Sunny Bank Mills in Farlsey, a former worsted manufacturer.

William tells the story of the industry through the lens of his family and discusses the challenges of running a large mill complex and keeping it relevant in the 21st century.
