Reciprocal Corporate Member The Framework Knitters Museum is set to be transformed this Christmas as it prepares to welcome families for its festive celebrations!

With Victorian mince pie making, a choir and mini orchestra, Christmas will take place at the museum on Saturday 17 December from 12:00-18:00 hrs GMT.

Visitors can also expect activities with the craft market, tombola and market stalls, roasted chestnuts and festive treats at Parkers Yard, which is run by The Split Screen Coffee. The frameshop will also be lit with LED candles to give it a Dickensian feel.

Children can take a trip to Santa’s magical grotto, where Father Christmas will be greeting young and old alike at the museum.

Sarah Godfrey, manager of the museum, said: “There is something for everyone this year from arts and crafts to mulled wine and roasted chestnuts, and families can pay a visit to Father Christmas.

“We can’t wait to transform the museum into a Victorian and festive wonderland, we’re looking forward to seeing everyone attend and get into the festive spirit!”

The museum and Parkers Yard are free to enter on Saturday 17 December between 12:00-18:00 hrs GMT.
