A small informal event for like-minded people from fashion technology educational institutions to meet in Manchester to discuss the current and future direction of research informed teaching in garment technology (and we use this phrase specifically here so that we may contrast the 2 descriptors). The intention is to use 2 contrasting approaches to pattern engineering and garment technology education to stimulate debate around the nature of fashion technology as taught currently and hopefully help define some common goals for future direction in this area.
