The iCongress, supported by The Textile Institute, is organising the 4th Sustainable Textile & Fashion Congress (STFC) on 28 – 30 April 2025 at the King’s House Conference Centre, Manchester, M1 7HB, UK located in the heart of two university campuses. Academics, researchers, professionals, independent consultants and policy makers are invited to submit abstracts targeting oral presentations by 31 January 2025 (extended deadline).
Call for Papers
The iCongress Innovation committee is inviting following three types of presentations/papers for oral presentation at the Sustainable Textile and Fashion Congress (STFC) and publication in the “iLetters”- an open access journal of innovations. :

Original work (research in progress) that represents the findings from any research work that is in progress but at least 25% complete.
-
Original work (research complete) that represents findings from any research work that is at least 75% complete.
-
Review work that presents a state-of-the-art picture of a theme or subtheme of any field of study. It could be a 5-year review, 7-year review or a 10-year review of officially published materials or products.
The duration of each presentation is 15~20 Minutes excluding Q&A.

Abstract submission:
iCongress are inviting researchers, academics, industry experts, professionals and students to submit 200 words abstract using the submission form by the 31 January 2025 (extended deadline). Decision on acceptance is notified within 7 working days from the date of abstract submission.

Digital fashion has emerged as a multidisciplinary field of knowledge that attracts overlapping interests from academics, researchers and professionals coming from fashion design, business and technology; computer science, software engineering, animation and gaming, anthropometrics, supply chain management and industry 4.0, big data and artificial intelligence, and industrial sustainability.
DFIC is a platform for universal information exchange, networking, dissemination of research, innovation, creative practice and pedagogy surrounding digitalised fashion world as well for the generation of new ideas and collaborations. The event will include presentations from industry, research papers, forums, research paper competition, poster exhibition and 3D design and illustration competition and exhibition.

The E-Textiles Network workshop “E-Textiles for Healthcare” will be held on 16 January 2024 at the Hartley Suite, University of Southampton.
The workshop will explore the role of wearable technology in Healthcare and then identify opportunities for E-Textile smart garment based wearables and the corresponding research challenges that need to be addressed.
The workshop will be run as a one-day event, split into two halves with the morning session focusing on technology within Healthcare and the afternoon focusing on how this technology can be implemented in E-Textiles and the associated practical challenges.
