Jorge Faria, Conference Chairman

Jorge Faria began his career in the textile industry after completing his degree in Chemical Engineering. With over 38 years of experience, he has held a range of key roles across textile processing, from preparation, dyeing, and finishing to technical and commercial leadership. Before joining Aquitex in 1992, Jorge worked in prominent textile mills, where he developed a deep understanding of the textile life cycle and its critical processes.

At Aquitex, Jorge started as Technical Director and has since been a driving force behind the company’s growth, innovation, and international expansion. Now Managing Partner, he combines decades of technical expertise with a strong focus on sustainability, product development, and business strategy. His dedication to innovation is reflected in his active participation in the development and application of three patents, showcasing his commitment to advancing cutting-edge solutions for the textile industry.

Jorge is deeply committed to fostering sustainability, innovation, and collaborative value chains, which he believes are essential for the future of the textile industry. His vast experience, credibility, and dedication to responsible practices continue to inspire progress and resilience across the industry.
