The authors of this contribution are Professor Maureen S. MacGillivray, who is Professor of Apparel and Textiles in the Department of Human Environmental Studies of Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, MI, USA, and Professor Michael A. Hann, who is Professor of Design Theory in the School of Textile Industries of the University of Leeds, UK, and is also Director of the University of Leeds International Textiles Archive (ULITA). This issue examines fashion as product and process and assesses the effects of internationalisation on fashion production and consumption.
